Which TEFL course is right for me?

We know that choosing the right TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course is a big decision. So we’ve created a handy set of questions to help you on your way.

Do you want to find paid work after completing your TEFL course?

If you’re simply planning on a few days of volunteer TEFL work then a short taster TEFL course should give you all you need. However, if you want to find a reasonable, paid TEFL job then we’d recommend you go for one of our accredited TEFL courses.

Do you need a TEFL course that lets you study flexibly?

If you live remotely, like studying at your own pace or want to get qualified as quickly as possible then our 120 hour online TEFL course may be the best fit for you. It’s fully online, so you can start at any time and study anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet connection.

We also like to sneak in that our online TEFL course is Ofqual regulated, includes personal tutor support – as well as fantastic content – and leads to that all-important TEFL qualification that you need for paid teaching work.

Do you want a TEFL course that includes practical sessions with a group of other TEFL students?

If you enjoy learning with others or want a chance to practise your new teaching techniques, we’d suggest you go for our combined TEFL course. You’ll still get everything in our online TEFL course – but you’ll top this up with an action-packed weekend TEFL classroom course filled with practical sessions.

Do you enjoy knowing that little bit more than the standard TEFL course?

You can bolt extra modules onto either the online or combined TEFL course to broaden your knowledge on specific topics (always a good way to impress potential TEFL employers!). We offer specialist TEFL modules in how to teach young learners, business English and one-to-one as well as in advanced grammar and advanced lesson planning.
