Course breakdown

  • How it works

Although this is our longest TEFL course we’ve created this so that you’re fully equipped to enter the teaching world. Because the majority of the course is online you can complete it at your own pace so it fits around your life, with 175 days (roughly 25 weeks) to finish it you can even take the odd weekend off!

It’s up to you when you want to do the practical weekend course some people choose to do it first, others like to break up their online learning – it’s your call. Don’t worry if you’re not sure on where you’ll be or when you’ll be free there’s a flexi option so you can pick a date that works for you when it suits you.

When we designed our TEFL courses we made sure we’d want to do them ourselves which is why you won’t find a dull assignment or boring lecture. Instead they’re jam-packed with quizzes, videos and interactive real-life scenarios.

  • What will I learn?

You’ll be learning a lot throughout the 320 Hour course and we don’t want to spoil all the surprises but it’s safe to say that by the end you’ll feel ready to jump straight into teaching.

We’ve packed our top specialist courses into the 320 Hour course, these include: Awareness of Grammar, Teaching Young Learners, Teaching One to One, Lesson Planning & Teaching Business English. Here’s a quick snapshot of what you’ll learn throughout the course:

    • Plan and deliver effective lessons to get the best from your students
    • Put your practical classroom tools into action
    • Create an adaptable lesson plan for all ages and classroom sizes
    • Deliver engaging lessons to adults in Business English
      • Understand and deliver the essentials of teaching grammar

  • Module breakdown

ant to know what you’ll be doing? Here’s a brief overview of the online modules:

    1. Lesson planning & content

Build a lesson plan with content designed to inspire your students and boost your confidence as a teacher

    2. Taking it to the classroom

Try your hand at different classroom techniques before putting them in front of real-life students

    3. Adapting your teaching to different ages & class sizes

Get to grips with this invaluable skill and you’ll find you can teach all ages and class sizes, helped by our Teaching Young Learners and Teaching One-to-One specialist courses.

    4. Teaching grammar & Business English

Add the TEFL magic to these stereotypically less exciting topics and you’ll be enjoying these lessons as much as your students! Get skilled up with our Awareness of Grammar Course and Business English add-ons!

    5. Course assessment

You’ll need to pass an assessment at the end of each module and it’s a great way to see how far along the course you are. When you’ve passed that final test you’re qualified!
