• Q: Which Online TEFL Course should I take?
  This depends on a few factors: your level of experience, where you want to teach and what your budget is. If you don't have any teaching experience and you want to give your CV a boost, we'd definitely recommend taking a Level 5 Course or Diploma. The same goes for if you want to teach in more competitive locations, such as, Japan, South Korea, the UAE or China.
  
  If you'd like to volunteer as a TEFL teacher or you want to teach in less competitive locations like South America or Thailand, a Level 3 Course may be enough. However, if your budget can stretch to it, we always recommend a Level 5 Course if you want to make yourself a competitive job candidate and get the most comprehensive TEFL training.
  
  Alternatively, if you want to teach English online, any of these Courses are suitable! However, if you want to make your CV pop and give yourself the best chance of employment in a well-paid role, opt for a Level 5.
• Q: What's the difference between an Online TEFL Course and an Online TEFL Diploma?
  A TEFL Course is a qualification that qualifies you to teach English online or abroad in tons of destinations worldwide. i-to-i's TEFL Courses are all regulated by the UK Government and we offer both Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications - meaning, they're on the official UK qualifications framework. Our Level 3 Courses are the equivalent to A Levels and our Level 5 Courses are the equivalent of a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) or a Foundation degree.
  
  TEFL Diplomas are only offered at Level 5 and they are essentially more in-depth, comprehensive qualifications than our TEFL Courses. They also carry more training hours, so you'll get expert training on teaching Business English and teaching English online and one-to-one. If you complete one of our Level 5 TEFL Diplomas, you're on to a winner!
• Q: Do I need any qualifications to take an Online TEFL Course or Diploma?
  The short answer is no! You only need to be able to speak English fluently to take a TEFL Course or Diploma - we'll train you on the rest. Don't worry if you don't have a bachelor's degree, this isn't a requirement for any of our qualifications and can teach English abroad without one. If you don't have a degree, our advice would be to take a Level 5 Course or Diploma to boost your employment potential and give yourself the best chancing of bagging a great TEFL job!
• Q: Should I take an Online or Combined TEFL Course?
  If you live within a reasonable distance of any of our worldwide training venues, we recommend taking a Combined TEFL Course or Diploma. A Combined qualification includes a 20-hour Classroom TEFL Course and any Course that includes this is favoured by employers around the world. It also gives you the chance to ask lots of questions, network with fellow TEFL newbies and even practice teaching and get expert feedback before stepping into the classroom.
  
  If you can't attend the Classroom Course though - don't worry! You're still getting top quality training with support from our in-house tutors and excellent online TEFL training that's going to get you wherever you want to be!
• Q: How will I access support throughout my Course?
  From the day you enrol until the day you receive your certificate (and beyond!), our dedicated teams will be here to help as you work through your Course. • Q: How long will it take to complete my Online TEFL Course or Diploma?
  This depends on which TEFL Course you purchase and how much time you can commit to it. If you purchase a Level 3 Course, this will probably take between 2-12 weeks to complete. If you purchase a Level 5 Course, this will probably take between 4-16 weeks. Please note, these figures are guidelines only and some people may take more or less time to finish their Course.
• Q: Where can I teach with an Online TEFL Course?
  You can teach English abroad or online, just like you would have after completing a classroom or combined TEFL course. The only difference is how you achieved the hours of training. Online training is a great option if you want your studies to fit around you.
• Q: Are there any age restrictions on completing a TEFL Course?
  Our Level 3 and Level 5 TEFL Courses are suitable for anyone over the age of 18, and are designed to give you all the help, support, and guidance you need to start your TEFL journey. One of the most common questions that we’re asked here at i-to-i is ‘Am I too old to teach English abroad?’ Our answer: Absolutely not!
