I want to teach English in vietnam,it’s possible for non native speaker?

    • georgiesmith

Hi there – you may have to be more selective about the jobs that you apply for, but there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to find work in Vietnam if you have a degree and can get the correct visa. If you want any more info, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thanks

    Hi,

I have degree but not in English or teaching. I have my degree from US though I am not a native speaker. How can I apply for a job in Vietnam?

Hi Deniz, thanks for getting in touch! A degree in any subject is absolutely fine – it doesn’t need to be in English or teaching, specifically. To teach in Vietnam, you’d need a TEFL certificate and then you can apply for jobs. It shouldn’t be a problem that you aren’t a native speaker – some jobs may specify that they’d prefer one but there are non-natives currently teaching over there.
