    For the online portion of the Course, you’ll have access to our online portal whenever you need to log in. That’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from wherever you are. We understand that completing a Course alongside a hectic lifestyle can have its challenges but with our flexible learning, you can dip and out when it suits you. Plus, this Course is compatible with phone, tablet and PC, so whatever your device of choice is, your studying will always be easily-accessible.

    The classroom part of the Course takes place in two full days over a weekend. You’ll get expert TEFL tutoring from one of our world-class trainers in one of our many locations around the world on a weekend of your choosing. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to ask any niggling questions you might have and network with your fellow TEFL teachers.

    Part 1: Level 5 180 Hour Online TEFL Course

    Unit 1: Introduction

    We’ll kick-start the Course with an introduction into what TEFL is, a short history and some common teaching methodologies to get a good background into teaching English.

    Unit 2: How to Plan a Lesson

    The first skill every teacher needs to learn is how to plan an engaging, effective lesson – and TEFL is no different. We’ll take you through the practicalities of lesson planning, different age groups and learning styles and lesson aims to help you understand how to create a great lesson.

    Unit 3: How to Structure a Lesson

    Through looking at warmers and coolers, a variety of teaching techniques and the reliable PPP method, you’ll see how best to create a solid structure for your lessons.

    Unit 4: How to Manage a Classroom

    Having a good teaching environment will really help your students to concentrate and learn quickly. In this unit, you’ll find out how to create this environment, build good relationships and how to give constructive feedback.

    Unit 5: How to Teach Vocabulary

    Delving deeper into English teaching, we’ll help you look at how to present vocabulary, meanings of words and checking students’ understanding in an effective way.

    Unit 6: How to Teach Pronunciation

    By studying connected speech, word patterns and word and sentence stress, we’ll equip you with all of the tools needed to deliver an excellent lesson in pronunciation.

    Unit 7: How to Teach Grammar

    In this unit, we’ll cover everything from prepositions to phrasal verbs and determiners to quantifiers so that by end of it, you’ll know everything you need to create an amazing grammar lesson.

    Unit 8: How to Teach Younger Learners

    Teaching to younger students can be challenging at times, but we’ll take you through various topics such as managing a younger classroom, adapting your teaching styles and choosing suitable material to create a good environment for youngsters to learn.

    Unit 9: Teaching Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening

    In Unit 9, you’ll be given techniques for helping your students to speak, listen to, read and write English. You’ll also get some ideas for lessons and a variety of approaches for teaching the four skills.

    Unit 10: The Next Steps

    Finally, you’ll get some great resources to use in your lessons and expert guidance on finding that all-important first job before you fly the nest!

    Part 2: Teaching Online & One-to-One Course

    In this 60-hour Specialist TEFL Course, you’ll learn about the following:
