FAQs: Answered

  • Q: What’s the benefit of taking a Level 5 Course over a Level 3?

You can teach abroad with a Level 3 qualification but a Level 5 certificate is more comprehensive and so it allows you to find better job opportunities, higher salaries and in potentially more countries.

  • Q: How and when would I receive the Course once I’ve bought it?

As soon as you pay for the Course, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the link to activate your Course in it. You can click this link whenever you’re ready to start – whether that’s straight away or in two years’ time!

  • Q: Can I take the Course if English isn’t my first language?

You can but we’d only recommend doing so if your English is at a near-native level. If you’re worried that your current level of English might not be quite up to scratch, give our friendly TEFL experts a call on the number at the top of your screen. If your English is good but not quite at a near-native level, you can take a Level 3 Course instead.

  • Q: Do I need a degree to take this Course?

No – you don’t need any particular qualifications to take our Course but of course, it’s always beneficial if you do have a degree. You can still find work teaching English abroad, too.

  • Q: Where can I go to teach?

To cut a long story short, you can pretty much teach English in any non-native English speaking country. From Japan to Jordan and Asia to Africa, there’s plenty of demand for TEFL teachers the world over.

  • Q: When can I start looking for work?

You can actually start looking as soon as you’ve started your Course – you’ll just need to let any prospective employers know that your qualification is in progress. Good luck and happy TEFLing!
