  • Quick FAQs

When can I access my course?

Instead of sticking to specified studying hours, we’ve made our course accessible via our online portal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You’ll be able to track your progress throughout your studying, so that you know exactly where you’re up to. This means that at any time, and from any place, you can log in from your phone, laptop, PC or tablet and continue where you last left off.

    How do I get started?

It’s pretty simple. Once you enrol, you will be sent your log in details through email. Our support team and academics are on hand to help if you need any assistance along the way.

How much English grammar do I need to know before taking the TEFL course?

You don’t need to be an expert in grammar, the course will teach you everything you need to know in that area. Plus, you already speak English – so you already know it! You just don’t know that you know it.

Can I do a TEFL course if I’m not a native English speaker?

Yes – you don’t have to be a native English speaker to teach English abroad or online, but you’ll need to have at least a near-native level of English to take one of our Level 5 Courses. If your English is good but not at a near-native level, why not take a look at our 120-hour Level 3 Course instead?

Do I need any equipment for the course?

As this is an online course, you do need to have an internet connection and a suitable device to study on (laptop, desktop, tablet or phone). You will also need to have a media player on the device, as the course includes a number of short observational films and tutorials.

Do I need to sit any exams?

Good news, you will not need to sit any formal exams! However, you will need to submit and pass written assignments to pass your chosen TEFL Course. You also will need to pass multiple choice quizzes at various stages throughout the course to confirm that you have understood the material before moving on to the next part of the course. If you need some support, you can speak to our highly experienced and qualified academic support team, or our brilliant TEFL tutors, who are on hand to help out.

Can I contact you if I need help with my TEFL course?

Our expert TEFL Support Team is available via email, telephone and livechat to answer your questions and support you through the course. The support team includes both operational staff, who can help you with practicalities of accessing and working through the course, and academic staff who can assist with TEFL specific questions. We’re a very friendly bunch and we’d love to hear from you!

    What happens once I qualify?

Once you qualify, it’s time to start teaching! You will have access to our jobs board, so you can start applying for positions whenever you are ready. Our jobs team will be on hand to give you advice and support to help you land your dream TEFL job!
