TEFL certification is open to almost anybody. Here’s what you need to get started:

• To be a native English speaker, or very fluent. This way you’ll make minimal errors on the course and gain more from it
• To be 18 years of age or older
• You DO NOT need to speak the local language
• Most jobs DO NOT require a degree, only in some destinations such as South Korea. But you don’t need one to take the course.
