Hours:37.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about Volunteer and Adventure travel?

"i to i Volunteering" and "Real Gap Experience" are two exciting youth adventure and experiential travel brands – and we’re looking for an experienced travel consultant to join the growing team. There is no walk-in business, no flights to sell and we’re not open on weekends – customer interaction is all by phone and email – you will provide expert advice, maximise conversions and ensure customer satisfaction for both travel brands.

You will be working as part of a small, dynamic team based out of the Peabody office, where the environment is casual and fun, yet fast paced.

You’ll need a fun and helpful personality, but most of all the ability to secure the booking.

What you’ll do...

• Provide expert advice to our customers
• Exceed sales targets by following up all web, expo and PR-generated leads
• Use your sales skills to ensure the best outcome for the business
• Offer travel insurance and flight referrals
• Support our Travel Agent partners

Sales Advisor, Tunbridge Wells

We have two positions available for sales advisors in Tunbridge Wells.

Job Title: Sales Advisor 
Department: i to i Sales
Relationship to other staff: Work closely with customer support and operations teams to deliver a high quality trip experience for the customer.
Reports to: Sales Team Leader

Performance standards / objectives:

• Ability to convert a lead into a new account
• Excellent communications skills are essential
• Ensure sales targets are met/exceeded (to be agreed)
• Ensure clients (travellers) are given the correct information and that the product is neither mis-sold, nor the customer expectation unrealistic as to what they are buying
• Ensure correct details taken at point of booking to enable the customer support team to process the booking efficiently
• Ensure that leads are managed within the timeframe set down within the target guidelines
• Provide cover in the sales team on the agreed working shifts

Key Accountabilities:

• Keeping accurate records
• Develop  your portfolio and achieve targets
• Ensure travel insurance sales are kept to the required percentage in comparison to bookings
• Effectively managing your individual leads and bookings using the established database system
• Ensure all potential customers are contacted and followed up in accordance to set target guidelines – this includes emails, telephone calls and brochure requests
• Become fully conversant with all aspects of programmes & extras
• Answer the phone within 3 rings
• Monitor and answer emails within set target guidelines
• Send out information by email and post when requested
• Visit schools and career fairs when required
• Ensure customers are given the correct information and that the product is neither mis-sold, nor the customer expectation unrealistic as to what they are buying
• Ensure correct details taken at point of booking to enable the customer support team to process the booking efficiently
• Along with any other duties that may be assigned
• Attend regular product and sales training and demonstrate this learning in your daily performance.
• Following FAM trips, pass on your product and country learning to your colleagues to ensure that the whole team is highly knowledgeable about the product.

• Logical and proactive approach, able to work on own initiative.
• Able and willing to drive change with “a can” do attitude

TEFL Customer Support Intern, Leeds – 3 months, start dates ASAP

• Answering our customers’ queries by phone and email, following initial training.
• Supporting weekend tutors with the resources they need and liaising with weekend TEFL venues around the world.
• Registering Scottish learners with ILA.
• Arranging for graduate certificates to be printed and despatched.
• Processing TEFL job applications.
• You’ll also get involved with service improvement projects
