A Travel Company Run by Travellers for Travellers

We are the original volunteer travel company, sending enthusiastic volunteers overseas in a supported environment to help local communities. We’ve been helping to organise life changing trips since 1994 and have years of experience in helping people get out there and just do it. We’re a well-travelled bunch and almost all of us have volunteered, so we know what we’re talking about. We reckon we’ve been to almost every country between us - from Outer Mongolia to the Arctic Circle. This wealth of experience means we know a lot about travelling and even more about volunteering overseas. So if you’re interested in an amazing travel experience, give us a call and we’ll do all we can to help you find the right destination and option for you. We can also help with flights and insurance to get you all sorted for your trip in one go.

Favourite country visited: Oooh, this is hard! I’ve got something great to say about all of the places I’ve been to, but if I have to pick just one (and it looks like I do have to!) then I’m going to say Vietnam. There’s so much to see and do and the people were so friendly and welcoming. It’s such a contrasting place with the crazy cities to the peaceful hills, and the delicious (yet lethal!) bia hoi local brew is not to be missed!
Next country on the list: It’s a long list! But currently on top is South Africa. The images from the recent football World Cup made me even more determined to explore it, and I can’t wait to see the Big 5, party in Port Elizabeth and soak up the history and culture of Cape Town. Get me on the next flight please!
Best piece of travel advice: Go with no expectations and an open mind. The things you thought you’d never do or like may well be the part of your trip that you enjoy the most!

Best piece of travel advice: Try things you wouldn’t normally dream of doing – you might surprise yourself!

Matt Chester – General Manager

Favourite country visited: Guatemala or Nepal
Next country on the list: Ethiopia is top of the wish-list
Best piece of travel advice: It’s exciting to see the sights, but it’s the connections with local people that leave the fondest memories
Rhiannon Lee – Travel Advisor

Favourite country visited: Namibia, Indonesia, South Africa and Canada.. too many to choose from!
Next country on the list: Japan or India
Best piece of travel advice: As Ghandi wisely said "You must be the change you want to see in the world." Never be afraid to get your hands dirty, to play, eat, sleep and breathe as the people you are surrounded by do, and above all remember that you are the visitor, always think in the local currency, don't expect western conveniences, avoid special treatment and try to speak the local language - the rest will take care of itself!
