What public transport is within walking distance?
Southampton Central Train Station is a 20 minute walk away from the venue. You can also catch a bus outside Central Station. The U1C to the Eastern Docks will take you to the Holyrood Church Bus Stop, which is just outside the venue.
Where can I go for lunch?
You can pick up some lunch on your way from the station or bring your own, if you prefer. There are also multiple restaurants and pubs on High Street towards Briton Street, which are all only a short walk away.
Can I enrol on the TEFL course if I’m not a native English speaker?
Yes, you can. We find that there are many non-native English speakers who prove to be excellent TEFL teachers. We just ask that your English is up to the standard of a native English speaker.
Where can I stay overnight?
If you are travelling in to take the course in Southampton and need to find yourself somewhere to stay the night before or after the course, you might choose to stay at the Jurys Inn itself; otherwise there is a good selection of hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in Southampton – two of these, within 10 minutes’ walk of the venue, are the Southampton Park Hotel and the Premier Inn Southampton Centre.
