• Accreditations

  At the end of each module, you will have an online assignment that you need to complete. These assignments will be marked by a tutor who will provide you with feedback and your final grade. At the end of the assignments, you’ll have to complete an in-person exam to gain your iGCSE in English Language.

  Your GCSE will be graded on a nine-point scale – 9 is the best grade you can get.

• Course Duration

  Your iGCSE English Language course can be completed in just 6 months!

  There are 120 hours of learning required with this iGCSE.

  You’ll need to take exams into account, however, as exam sittings are held once per year in May or June.

  We have 5 examination centres: Bolton, Coventry, Doncaster, St Neots Cambridgeshire and Wimbledon. All of our centres have been approved for you to take your iGCSE exam by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

  What are iGCSEs?

  GCSEs are the compulsory qualifications taken by students in the UK between the ages of 14 and 16 which lead to further studies, such as A Levels, or other international equivalent qualifications, before progressing onto university. International General Certificate of Secondary Education, also known as iGCSEs, are the ‘international’ version of GCSE, and they are available in many countries around the world.

  What’s the difference between iGCSE and GCSE?

  The differences between iGCSE and GCSE are very minor. GCSEs are only available in the UK and a small number of other counties, whereas iGCSEs can be taken in over 150 counties across the world. They are both equivalent qualifications that are highly regarded and accepted by universities and employers within the UK.

  So, who are iGCSEs suitable for?

  iGCSEs are the most popular international qualification for those aged 14-16 around the world. They are the qualifications you’ll need to progress to higher education or professional studies, either in your home country or overseas.

  iGCSEs are often taken by students who wish to:

  • get a place at a university or college, either in your home country or overseas
  • pass the language tests to emigrate or study in another country, for example, achieving a grade C or above in iGCSE English is usually the pre-requisite that some universities in English-speaking nations have in order to apply

  This iGCSE English qualification is an internationally recognised qualification which means it will be accepted and recognised by colleges, universities and employers around the world.

  When do I get my English Language iGCSE?

  Once you are enrolled you can start learning online straight away – there are no timetables to follow so you can study at your own speed with complete flexibility.

  They’ll be fun online quizzes to help you assess your knowledge as you go. Once you’ve worked your way through all the modules, you’ll be provided with a mock exam to help you prepare for sitting the official iGCSE English Language Pearson Edexcel exam.
