Wildlife conservation in Asia
Asia's wildlife is as diverse as its landscapes. From rocky mountain goats clinging to the Himalayas and tigers roaming the tropical lowlands, to panda’s happily munching their way through bamboo forests, the only predictable thing in Asia is great food!
We work with lots of worthwhile volunteer projects to support wildlife conservation in Asia. For the wild at heart, the project working with Malaysian orang-utans on the mystical island of Borneo offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat rather than through the TV screen or worse, the bars of a zoo. Wildlife conservation in the county’s national parks offers a rare opportunity to help prepare the ground (literally) for a range of wildlife, from leopards to lizards. Working with sea turtles on the Sri Lankan coast offers a dramatically different but equally meaningful wildlife preservation experience amongst the coral reef and crystal blue waves of the Indian Ocean. Similarly, turtle conservation on our marine conservation project in Thailand (with the added advantage of lounging on a beach in your time off) is a great way to spend your gap year or career break.
