Overview

Have you ever wanted to teach English in an exotic location?

If so, then this project is perfect for you. Not only will you be teaching children full of energy and willing to learn but you will be doing so in one Thailand’s hidden gems. Amongst other things, Surin is famous for its annual elephant round-up festival and is a glowing testimony to the 'real' Thailand. The children are the most important part of a growing community and by teaching them even a little understanding of English you will be giving them a great start in life!

Trip Highlights:

  • The satisfaction when the children can show you what you have taught them
  • Exploring the local town of Surin – a city famous for many things including its amazing elephants
  • Visiting the elephant research centre, silk and silver villages, eating the local food and being surrounded by the 'real' Thailand
  • What our projects say:

  • i-to-i volunteers are a great help to us, we cannot afford to pay the salary for English teachers to teach students proper English
  • Having volunteers means our children get motivation to study harder and understanding of culture outside Thailand
