Travel in Trinidad and Tobago is not quite what you’d expect from a Caribbean destination. The islands are blessed with a wealth of natural resources and have developed an economy that does not rely solely on foreign tourism which means that when you travel to Trinidad and Tobago, you’ll experience the ‘real’ Caribbean rather than getting stuck in another all-inclusive resort crowded with drunken sun-worshippers.
As with many Caribbean islands, Trinidad and Tobago is a great starting point to travel Latin America for gap year and travel adventures abroad. It offers a chance to get used to being away from home and allows you to find your ‘travel feet’ in a laid back and safe environment.
