Our TEFL graduates
The people who take our courses and then head off to teach abroad are what puts a smile on our faces and makes all the hard work worthwhile. Loads of our graduates keep in touch after they’ve finished their courses to let us know how they’re doing. Here are a few of our favourites. You can check out more TEFL stories over on TEFL Chalkboard...

The 60 hour online course is concise, easy to follow and keeps you interested to learn more. The videos and resources are well executed and allow you to see exactly what is expected of you as a teacher and what you as a teacher can expect within your role.

I liked the way the course opened up my mind – some of the modules looked very difficult at first, but once I’d got into it and had done some revision and thinking it all came together nicely. I was amazed at all the new things I learnt!

I have just completed my intensive weekend in Bristol and...it was fantastic! The venue was easy to find and nice (free coffee and biscuits!), everyone got on well, which made the atmosphere lovely to work in, and all worries and embarrassment went away, I felt confident to speak up and share my ideas! It was great! The tutor who took the weekend was very professional and the way she taught us was effective. So, 10 out of 10 from me. I really feel I have benefited greatly from the weekend and I am now hyped up to finish off my online course and get out there!
Lauren Baine
Getting hands on experience of what it is going to be like teaching abroad. I have learnt an awful lot more at this weekend than I would have if I had just done the 100 hour online course. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Bribery and games – the secret to a fun morning with my most difficult grade 6 classes! George and I planned a review lesson to incorporate and try out some new games and to see how much our students could remember from the past two months. After beginning with a game of ‘what is the odd one out’ from a series of powerpoint pages we’d previously used for English corner, we went on to play... Read more

Finally summer is here, and it seems that in Harbin they go all out. It's pretty much like a constant fun fair here now the sun is out - probably making up for the ridiculously long winter. Everyone is flying kites and eating candyfloss and blowing bubbles and painting and playing music. This afternoon I visited the local park which is about a 4 minute walk from my apartment. There are leaves and blossom on the trees and... Read more

By far the most exciting thing that's taken place over the past month is our trip to Xi'an last weekend. Thanks to a national holiday here in China, Sarah and I got five days off work, and decided to venture out of Xingtai to see a bit more of what this vast country has to offer. So on Friday evening off we went to the train station, and 9 hours and one 'soft sleeper' (with not much sleep) later, we arrived in the city of Xi'an… Read more
