What I love about teaching English is the constant creativity and variety, the cultural interaction and knowledge gained and the life long learning. Every day brings new surprises and a new challenge.
Teaching Brazilians means summoning all my energy to entertain and amuse as well as ensure that there is a lot of constructive learning and language practice. Teaching Japanese helps build an understanding of understated reaction and subtleties. Chinese have a great thirst for knowledge and progress. These are generalisations of course, but they are part of the rich experience of teaching English around the globe.
I started teaching over 15 years ago and have since written several books and gained a Masters in Applied Linguistics. I now live in Australia. For the last 5 years I have been teaching live classes on the Internet. My students are located all over the world.
English language teaching opens up a wonderful world of learning and opportunity!
