TEFL Tutor – Gordon Clark
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Gordon and it is has been my pleasure to be an online TEFL teacher-trainer for several years, following an international teaching career spanning 6 countries and many years.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology and continued my studies with a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education, as well as several TESOL/TEFL certificates. My first foray into ESL/EFL began while I was a corporate training consultant working in Calgary. With time to spare and an interest in social development and cultural studies, I volunteered my teaching skills with an adult literacy program that opened my eyes to the rewards of language teaching.
Guatemala and Mexico followed this first teaching experience, and I then taught in Korea, Thailand, Germany and Canada.
Each country has taught me a lot about developing teaching skills, interpersonal relations and cultural relativism, and has provided a host of amazing experiences. The opportunity to live, work and learn in another culture is something cherished - and highly recommended for those with an interest in the world around them.
