More on Volunteering in Tanzania
Tanzania hosts one of the greatest ranges of natural diversity in the whole of Africa; it's the perfect place for wildlife spotting with Africa's second largest number of bird species, the continent's greatest mammal population and three quarters of East Africa's plant species. Don't forget to check out the awesome Mount Kilimanjaro too, which is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world. If you're feeling adventurous we can even sort out a Kili climb for you! A few members of team i-to-i have done it themselves and highly recommend it, particularly when you fundraise for a cause too.
Despite it's incredible landscape and pull for tourists, Tanzania remains one of the world's poorest countries in terms of the per capita income. We're always excited to see our volunteers lending a hand in our community and teaching projects.
Volunteering abroad is a great way to get to know a country from the inside and with i-to-i there are so many possiblities in regards to what you can do to help.
