Honduras might have some problems but overcrowding certainly isn’t one of them. Mysteriously bypassed by tourists, its seas remain un-paddled and its tropical forests un-trampled. The country remains one of the poorest in a relatively poor continent and the projects we partner help Honduras by working with the most vulnerable people and environments. You can volunteer on projects that help Honduras all over the country in areas like wildlife conservation, teaching and community development. Honduras has had a turbulent past; cross-border skirmishes, interference from western governments and of course Hurricane Mitch has left mental and physical scars on the country. The other great reason for helping Honduras is that you’re never far away from the beach, so when you’ve finished at the project you can easily find somewhere to rest and relax!
