   hi I'm thinking of going but I'm torn between Indonesia and Sri lanka Im thinking of going late dec 08 early Jan 09. I haven't done my TEFL cousre yey tho. How long did it take to do yours?

   i havent done the tefl course eather... gona have to do it over summer, hoping it wont take toooooooooooooooooooooooooo long but well see

   I have just got to module 9. It hasnt taken me that long all in all, but I have been dipping in and out of it, not working through it solidly (as it can give you a headache at times!)
   Make sure you leave enough time to get through it. You cant move on from one module until your tutor has marked and passed you for the previous one.

   I'm going to Sri Lanka to do the community work with children project arriving 17th August (very soon!) anyone else going to be there? I booked it really last minute and have barely started the tefl course... got a feeling I'm not going to get it done in time...

   heyy just thought I'd start up this topic again rather than starting another similar one aye.
   Im Daniel and im a first time traveller here...so, ya know, nervous! lol
   Im away to book my trip to Sri Lanka from January to April within the next couple of days...I was just really curious to see if there are going to be many others going around the same time? Im doing the Community work with Children project...and am so excited...but right now, a wee bit anxious too! eek! lol x

    Hi Daniel,
    I have just got back from doing the 4 week community coastal project. Dont be nervous, it was the best experience of my life! Coming back to work is the hard bit!

    I'm heading over to Sri Lanka on April 19th for four weeks so might catch you out there before you head home!
    Same as you first time venturing into the unknown alone but nervited prob best way of descibing it. You'll have to let me know what its like when you get over!

    Lorna it seems like Im going to JUST miss you!! I come back home on the 12th of April! And Jason it looks like Im gonna just miss you too, because I wont get there until the 18th of January! how about you stay another few weeks? haha
    Im totally wanting to travel round the island too mate, just a bit worried that there wont be anyone there wanting to do likewise with me! :(
    nah im sure there will be someone....hopefully? lol x

    Hey Danny,
    Well in that case you can expect a serious grilling from me upon your return, I would imagine you'll defo find someone to travel around the island with you, sure you'd be daft not to, you'll have an unreal time without a doubt!

    I'm arriving on the 18th of January too! :) Very very excited. I want to travel round the island as well, only there for three weeks but I hope there'll be people who want to spend weekends exploring with me..
    Anyone else staying at the Sputnik centre..?

    omg izzy! thats so cool we're arriving on the same day!! And u bet ur ass Im gonna want to travel around!!
    Im sure its the Sputnik centre im staying at too...I need to double check tho aye...ahh how exciting!
