Community work in China
There area lot of reasons to do community work in China; the 1.3 billion people, the considerably fewer Pandas, the snow-capped Himalayas and the frenetic cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an to name just a few. Volunteering for community work in China is a great way to get to know one place intimately in a country big enough to make travelling around hard.
China is one of the most photographed countries on the planet but also one of the most reclusive. Some things we know well, like The Great Wall, The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square while much of the country remains a mystery to us. Doing community work in China is a great way to peel back the cover and see how China really lives. With projects all over the country in schools, universities, orphanages and museums there are a variety of different experiences on offer. The megalopolises of Beijing and Xi’an are like countries in themselves and doing community work in China means calling them home.
