Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes (in 5th place right now!)
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Hi!
Noticed from your profile that you did the journalism internship last month and would be interested to hear what you thought of it, as I'm planning on going in January.
I'm in a similar boat to you - studying Journalism and so though this would be a great chance to get a bit of experience, however unlike you I will have only finished the first year of my degree when I go. My experience is pretty limited to a bit of volunteer writing here and there, nothing major, and I'm a bit anxious about whether I'll be out of my depth. What do you think? Where you given a lot of responsibility over stories when you volunteered? Do the people you work with expect a certain level of experience?
I'd love to hear about your trip if you have time to reply!
Cheers,
Noani
After one is a 3 month one and one is 3 months minimum and I only finished college at the end of May and was travelling in June so I had the option to do shortened ones or wait until September so I waited. I am just glad I got something and India should be a great experience beforehand.
That's great news! So are you doing your internships now before you head out to Bangalore or are you saving them for afterwards? I hope the placement works out well for you - it looks like great experience.
Hey!!
fly to india this aft/eve so im not sure when i'll next be on campfire so i thought i'd say a quick hi and see you in india!
the reality is just about hitting me, ah!! keep in touch :)
:)
Yea really looking forward to going. Are you? I did the TEFL course too last year that was my initial plan but obviously as a journalist the internship is better experience :D Do you know where you are staying?
Hi, you will have a great time. They sometimes change whether you stay at Shirley's or the Katary's so that there are people at both and nobody is on their own. It doesn't make much difference between them where you stay really - both have their upsides and downsides, but totally fine.
hi, yes im off to Bangalore!!I'm really excited about it although i'm getting a bit scared about teaching English, the online course is harder than i thought!!!!
I don't know where i'm staying yet, hopefully i'll find out soon though cus i want to know!!!
Are you looking forward to going? x
hey! i'm actually also going to be staying at the Katary Villa...i wonder who Shirley is?? but either way from previous people who have gone the area we will both be staying in is supposed to be pretty safe and central.
