This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. Not sure i have had enough time to really asses what has shocked me hat i had not considered yet? but i would say that clothes wise i think i brought too muuch as you can buy cheaply and washing facilities are really good. the people are really freindly oh i just thought one of the other girls suffers with travel sickness so even if you are only a little bit then bring tablets as the roads are really bumpy??? take chat more soon P

haha yeah some of it terrifies me coz it's also the first time I'm getting away all by myself and I think 3 months could turn out to be quite long! (lol, when I first booked I thought it would be too short and wanted a 6-month placement). I booked impulsively at the end of February, just coz I felt like somethin diff as well. and I also love the Spanish culture and community, and the sights to see in South America - so natural and exotic! So r u at Adelaide Uni? I'm a 2nd year student there, and am just taken a 6-month leave of absence before going back next year :) we must keep in touch! and chat about how everything goes. we could even go for coffee sometime at uni or somethin and compare notes :)

Hey! I'm also living and studying in Adelaide :) Going to Costa Rica at the end of August and staying there till 15th of November. when dya think you'll be there? How u feeling about the trip?

Hey there, thanks for the good wishes. i'm due to fly back to the U.K in in early october but m seriously considering just carrying on traveling for a good while longer, so I may wel still be in the area at that time, Let me know your plans and i'l let you know when i decide on a sensible life of work and boredom or a life with my backpack.........no competition really is there?

Hiya Sophie, It seems like we are doing similar things i have never been to latin america before so like you i am a little nervous but also very excited. i been trying to learn spanish for the last three months i listen to my IPod on the way to and from work which is great for speaking and getting the pronunciation right but i could not read any spanish ^_^ it will be great to catch up with your news how to chat some more soon.
