When I first arrived in Costa Rica I was told that Costa Rica was the happiest place in the world.

It is true that in a recent survey conducted by the New Economics Foundation, which looked at 143 countries home to 99% of the world's population, Costa Rica ranked the happiest!

After being here for one week I think I can see why, the warm climate, the friendly welcoming, trust worthy people and the healthy natural diet...but maybe this is me talking from my objective experience.

Any how...I have decided that I will make it my mission to find out just what it is that makes this Costa Rica such a happy place.

Not surprisingly, the US did not rank terribly high at 114th on the list and I'm not sure where Britain ranked but I have a feeling it would be even lower.

I think in onw way the difference can be equated to the British greed mentality, we want more, we work more, we stress more!

Here everyone just seems so happy and content with what they have...but thats not too surprising given it is such a beautiful country.

Anywhoo I will get back to you with more on why I think Costa Rica is such a good place to live soon!
