Bouncing into Brisbane

And so the second leg of my trip has begun! First impressions. Oz is awesome. Bounced into Brisbane on Wednesday with the worst jetlag imaginable – to say I was zombie-fied would be an understatment. In the first 24 hours I managed to lock myself out of my room twice and when I was told we were having meat pie for dinner I went around saying ’oooo meat pie Monday my favourite!’ and didn’t realise...

Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes as the closing date for voting is fast approaching (in 5th place right now!) and SO many people seem to not be able to vote I need extra extra votes!!
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

hey,im going to be starting on the 3rd too although ill be arriving in mombasa on the second of october. im going to be there for 12 weeks until just after xmas.. will any body else be there for it :)
all good tips thank you. i always think of loads of stuff i need to ask people but then forget. going to start writing it down and then i will bombard you..only joking. thanks for ur help though.
Hi. i am indeed staying in the volunteer house. so good to hear from someone else who is going. this is all very new to me so would love if you had any top tips of stuff to take/not to take... can't wait to get there. These last few months are draaaagging.

Sounds to me like you have had that experience.
My advice is, be careful about who you sit next to on the flight. Never give your real name, or be nice to them. They could turn out to be some wierdo stalker that tries to find you on the internet!
