Hey. I'm going to Colombo this summer to do community work with children for a month, starting on the 15th July. I am quite nervous about what to expect, but cannot wait to go (even if it is ages still). Just wondering if anyone else is going to be out there at the same time as me, or if anyone has already done this project, or one similar, and can give me some help on...
29.01.2012 Tanzania – Mount Kilimanjaro - Moshi I left Zurich before the cold front dropped snow on most of Europe and flew into Kilimanjaro, where the beautiful mountain welcomed me upon landing with a cloudless smile. It truly is a glorious site. I am in Moshi with Coy and Kacey Buckley, American friends who I met in Zurich that are now based in Moshi with their family. It is always nice to see old friends...

I look forward to writing on here about my experiences! Naomi x

Hi I went to Moshi, Tanzania last year in February. While there I had a great time volunteering in a nursery school and also in an adults english class. At the end of my trip I was presented with the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a young student, Stella. I paid a years tuition for Stella for a mere 20,000 Tsh. It is fast approaching february again and I desperately need...
We've received another update from Madi, who's currently at the Help Raise Lions and Tigers project in South Africa :) Read on... It has been a very very busy week! The "brain" still works, hence the move to TESOL. I visited Vietnam in 2000 and can't think of a better place to start my TEFL career! I look forward to chatting to like-minded travellers.. teachers.. "oldies" (I'm 51)! Happy New Year, Kevin

Today is the day where I depart from bonnie England to head to the other side of the planet to New Zealand and Australia. I admit that this is a pretty daunting prospect, especially for someone who has never flown on their own or been away from home for an extended amount of time. I already miss some of the people who I have said bye to, such as my boyfriend and my best friend....
As a family, we travel a considerable amount - we take off almost every weekend on little road trips and a couple of times a year on larger planned vacations. We don't have a professional security system at home, because honestly, I haven't felt the need for it so far. I use a very basic webcam monitoring service that's available off the internet. What I've done is - set up 2 webcams, one each at...
I have been looking at photos from my wonderful time in Africa. It was the best time ever. I really miss the people and the adventure. If anyone is interested in going to Africa send me a message and I can give you advice and tell you about all the brilliant things I did. I white water rafted down the zambezi, built a hut for aid orphans, and went on safari.
