About Me
I’m 19 years old and im travelling to Rio on the 4th July to do some community work with children for 4 weeks. I’m then hoping to travel around Brazil for a while, though I’m not entirely sure where I want to go. May possible visit the Amazon?! I’m excited but a bit nervous about the experience as I’ve never travelled alone, but I’m sure it will be very rewarding. Would love to get in touch with anyone who is going to Rio around the same time as me or anyone who has already been there!
I like to think im outgoing and very sociable, I love meeting new people and getting involved in spontaneous adventures. I'm hoping to broaden my horizons and make some priceless memories in brazil!

This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. I'll start packing early this time, I'm always leaving things to the last minute.. lol.. but all shall be fine ;) .. cool ur from London.. I'm from Australia .. state of Queensland.. southern part of the Great Barrier Reef.. :) .. I see u have a friend already there?.. that will be so cool to experience something like this with a friend :) .. wheres your placement at?
Don't worry you'll have a great time once you're out there. Its normal to feel unprepared for such a big adventure. I'll be a bag of nerves closer to the time I haven't thought about things like the airport pick up! Where did you go on holiday? What are you packing? I'm not really sure where to start especially as I've never done anything like this before. I'd want to work with deprived children/young people as thats what I'm going to Brazil for. I'm sure the community project will be great for that please keep me posted on how it goes, good luck :-) x

Im staying at a place called Giovanni's and it sounds really cool from what ive heard! I think you try and get to the Amazon regardless of what people say becuz i should be a once in a lifetime experience however good it is!
I'm out in Rio for the Carnival so staying around fro that n then haven't thought too much about after that?!?

Just reading your info at the side...i'm also doing Community Work with young Children in January and then i too am hoping to do some travelling (hopefully the Amazon)!! I have heard a few people say that the Amazon is overated but still should be a wkd experience if you can get there im gonna try!!...u will have 2 let me know what the project is like and Brazil in general :)
What guesthouse/hotel u stayin at??

Hi Rawa, I'm very excited and I'm not going until the 5th September! lol. You must be so excited 8 days to go! Do you feel organised? Have you learnt lots of Portuguese? I can't wait to hear all about it especially as you'll be doing community work with children which I'll be doing :-)
Hey whats up, I'm gonna be in Rio for 3 weeks on July 18. I'm teaching surfing but all the projects are kinda mixed I think so I'm sure I'll see you down there. are you gettin psyched? should be amazing
