About Me

I'm a 66 year old (at present!) just about to embark on a volunteering trip (teaching) to Moshi, Tanzania. I am semi-retired from a profession basically as a statistician having been employed most of my life in jobs allied to healthcare and neuroscience. I've also had a few years teaching experience (secondary level maths!).
I have a son and daughter, both grown up and responsible (? not like their father!)
Although a Londoner by birth and upbringing, have spent the last 40 years (wow, is it that long!) living in Bath, in the west of England - lucky fellow.
I played quite a bit of sport - at only moderate club level - mainly cricket but have now taken up golf! I enjoy walking and travelling. My other main interest has always been music, both as a listener and player - a very moderate 2nd trombone!! Oh, and my name is Phil.
