Used to be very critical of BA but had to fly with them to the US not so long ago and they were brilliant - particularly when compared to any of the US operators. However, have to agree that Emirates - and all the other Gulf airlines - are really teaching the world a lesson in service, prices and the like
Worst airports? Scary for me have been Tegucigalpa (famous for being 'interesting') and Ta'iz in Yemen - but that was probably because it was an unscheduled stop to pick up qat and the pilot seemed more concerned with get donw quickly than worrying if anyone survived!
Shouldn't the question be 'who IS the best airline?'. I've just flown Qantas for the first time last week and found them to be ok. I like Emirates though, as you get the live videocam shot during flight.....brilliant fun during landing.
I think that Jet2 would have to be amongst the worst in terms of customer-service, but price is usually pretty good (although different to what they advertise!)
My favourites are Singapore Airlines and Qantas (being a loyal Aussie). If you're flying up the front of the plane, then Virgin Atlantic Upper Class probably beats all others!
Comments - Who is the best airline?

It's all about Emirates! I dont think i could fault them. Wish i could say the same about British Airways...

I don't know about airline. Leeds Bradford is the worst airport to land at, always wet, always windy.

Grammar duly corrected!

JAL - Great food, movies, cabin staff, and landings so smooth you could miss them.
Don't you think Qantas has just become a bit of a BA plus and lost it's character?

Jet2 are good for price, but the food is far to expensive, i guess things like that are how they make up for being able to have such cheap prices.
