Campfire is i-to-i's Travel community.
It is currently still in testing phase which could mean you find the odd bug!
Q: What is i-to-i campfire? A: It's the online community of the meaningful travel specialists i-to-i.com
I'm a 19 year old architecture student studying in Sheffield. I just wanted to do something different this summer, so I'm working at the Lake Bunyoni project and then have booked my plane later so that I can hopefully meet some people to travel around Africa for a while with!
My all time favourite decade is the 1980s. 80s everything....
Hi there! My name is Jenny I live near Sacramento,...

Hiya
Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes (in 5th place right now!)
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Hi Nick,
Good to hear from you; you will love Uganda! Have you been before at all or to anywhere like it? My main things I wish I had taken with me are a better torch with plenty of batteries and some binoculars...sounds geeky but I'm a huge fan! The scenery at the Lake is so stunning so its a good way to pass the time :) other than that, you're next to a very well stocked town called Kabale so there's nothing that I missed in that respect. If you need any help then let me know!

Hiya. I plan to visit Bunyonyi while I'm in Uganda (either on a trip over with the kids from Teach Inn or just some extra sight-seeing at the weekends) so hopefully I'll see you there even if you don't make it out to Teach Inn!
As far as the extra 10-day travel around Uganda goes, I don't know how likely it is that I'll be able to do that as I actually finish at Teach Inn on the 3rd August, so that's before you're done at Lake Bunyonyi. But I did buy one of those flexible end-date tickets so it's possible I'll be around and free if I haven't run out of money! We'll see how it works out =)
Seeya.
Hi! No I'm not going to Uganda but that sounds amazing...I just started looking into tefl courses...I can't wait til I can finally do it, but it probably wont be for awhile. Hope your having a good day! tc
All the longer trips are fully booked. Besides, I have to be home by the end of July to look after my brother whilst my mum is away on business. I couldn't really afford any longer anyways, because I'm going to Paris and Singapore in the summer after Uganda. Good times. :)

Hello! Thanks for the add. When are you off to Uganda?
x
oh ok so i guess we're doing the same thing then =). yes i booked everything with i-to-i, what about you? i thought everyone on here did because we are on their website after all.
wow your sister is very brave actually. kenya can be a quite unsafe place sometimes too.
yeh sheffield is quite far but at least its not up in scotland!
i need to look up things to do there as well. i haven't sent off my forms either. its the last thing i can think about at the moment. a levels is a really busy time, not to mention irritatingly stressful. i'm not liking it! i've heard there are some nice safaris and stuff, but i'm not entirely sure if it will be near by, because this lake sounds quite far out!
