Anyone looking to travel Australia might want to explore the west of the country, as an industry expert has endorsed its raw qualities.
Richard Madden, an adventure travel journalist, recommended the area for its diversity, wildlife and coastline.
Speaking on behalf of Tourism Western Australia‘s Experience Extraordinary campaign, he said: "Sometimes when people go to Australia for the first time they stick to the big city or somewhere that’s quite built up, whereas in Western Australia it’s got this huge area of coastline."
He specifically highlighted the Margaret River in the south-west and the Cape to Cape Trail.
The Kimberley and Karijini national parks also received special praise.
To squeeze all the attractions into one visit, Mr Madden underlined the need to be focused and organised.
Australia was recently voted the best place in the world to scuba dive in a poll held by a Scuba Diving magazine.
