As a city, Sydney in Australia has plenty of reasons to be pleased with itself, according to one travel writer.
In an article the Telegraph newspaper, Cameron Wilson suggested that the metropolis could just be the "smuggest" city in the world.
Its beautiful harbour, great beaches and wonderful climate are just three of the things that attract tourists from around the world.
Mr Wilson said that most first-time visitors to Sydney will spend time around the harbour, and rightly so.
He said there are "myriad options" for getting out onto the water, from tours focusing on the city's colonial history to "hair-raising" jet boat trips.
"For simple elegance, a traditional three-masted tall ship is hard to beat," he insisted.
However, at night, the writer recommended moving away from the harbour, where dining out is expensive, and heading further into the city.
Here, travellers will fund "cool and funky" restaurants and bars, as well as live music venues playing indie rock, jazz and blues.
In a recent article for Travel and Leisure magazine, writer Anthony Dennis said Sydney "exemplifies the art of relaxed cosmopolitanism".
