HostelBookers.com is celebrating its fifth birthday by making those on a gap year an offer they can’t refuse – the chance to stay in a hostel for five pence per night.
Between June 1st and 5th, the website will feature a host of beds in hostels across 250 cities in 100 countries and is inviting those on a gap year or volunteering abroad project to log on and check out the bargains from 2pm onwards.
The bookings are valid for stays between July 6th and the 10th and include locations such as sunny Barcelona, Sardinia and Corfu.
This new offer is HostelBookers’ way of saying thank you to its many customers over the last five years, explained David Smith, the site’s chief operating officer.
He added: "This is the first time we have run a promotion on this scale but our anniversary felt like the perfect time – we have had a phenomenal five years."
Last month, HostelBookers ran an Easter promotion which saw a giant Easter egg take to the streets of various famous European capital cities as entrants were invited to guess where it was.
