A rare brown giant panda has been spotted in a nature reserve in the north-west of China, it has been stated.
The creature is just one of five ever seen in China’s rural regions, reports Xinhua News.
Liang Qihui, a senior engineer at the Foping Nature Reserve Administration, reportedly saw the cub in Shaanxi province.
It is believed that the cub is less than two months old and weighs around two kilogrammes.
The professional is quoted by the news provider as saying: "Its eyes haven’t opened yet, but it could sense me when I came near it. Its mother was a black-and-white giant panda."
Another panda to receive a lot of attention lately is Fu Long, a two-year-old animal who was born in Vienna Zoo, but was flown China this week to rejoin his parents as part of an agreement between the two counties.
