Luxury Australian accommodation ‘is unique’

Luxury Australian accommodation ''is unique'' Gap year tourists looking to travel in style across Australia might want to try a resort with a difference.

According to Suite101 writer Larry Darter, Logitude 131 Resort is a luxury stop-off with a twist.

The complex is located on an isolated sand dune on the outskirts of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the Northern Territory in Central Australia and it was named the winner of the Unique Accommodation category at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in 2009.

It is a five-star offering in the country’s remote outback and opts for tent canopies and domed roofs to create the illusion of outdoor camping, the journalist noted.

However, the 15 elevated tents include a range of modern amenities such as climate control, bedside switches and even sound systems, he added.
