Join in Rio''s New Year''s Eve party when on gap years in Brazil People planning gap years in Brazil in the near future should be able to easily join in with the New Year’s Eve festivities in Rio, one sector commentator has asserted.

Tom Hall, travel editor at Lonely Planet, said that the Brazilian capital’s parties would be "tremendous fun" for anyone who happened to be travelling around the region at the end of December.

"And, it’s probably somewhere where it’s a little easier to join in the party than in other cities where you can sometimes be on the outside looking in," he asserted.

Mr Hall noted that because of the nature of Rio’s street parties, having a good time should not be a problem for anyone as they are very inclusive.

He concluded by stating that another factor that is likely to make sure people have a good time during the new year period is that Rio enjoys "excellent" weather conditions, meaning that it is not necessary to wrap up before heading out to party.

Rio was recently listed as one of the top destinations to celebrate New Year’s Eve by sunshine.co.uk.ADNFCR-1944-ID-19521407-ADNFCR
