Japan’s balance between eastern traditions and western culture makes it an ideal destination for travellers, it has been claimed.
Adam Waldock, PR and marketing assistant for travel firm Trailfinders, said that the Asian country is “amazing” for visitors.
The comments come after a report revealed that Japan and Australia are the top destinations for holidaymakers and travellers from across the world.
Conducted by Visa and the Pacific Asia Travel Association, the Travel Intentions survey showed that 40 per cent of respondents would consider travelling to these countries in the next two years.
Mr Waldock said: “[Japan is] a contrast between extremely advanced western practices and the taste of the orient as well.”
"[Australia, meanwhile,] has so much to offer. It’s such an expansive country – and it’s usually very warm. You’ve got everything there," he added.
More than 6,000 people were interviewed as part of the Pacific Asia Travel Association report.
