Gap year travellers should head to Krabbi to experience a selection of "beautiful" islands, a travel website has recommended.
Suite101.com has identified three such destinations that visitors can reach in the Thai region.
Bida Island has some of the most enticing waters "one could find anywhere" and is home to the Princess Cave, a spot where a royalty member previously died and where fishermen still pay tribute today.
A long boat can be used to get to Hong Island, which is famous for its tidal chamber, into which supervised kayakers can attempt to row.
Koh Lanta can be found further south – a 24 km-long spot that has the Lanta National Park at its tip, which is a forest home to wild cats and monkeys.
Earlier in the month, the portal recommended tourists might like to travel to Phuket in Thailand, as the region has a number of beaches, including those at Patong, Karon and Andaman.
