Those hoping to go on a gap year tour of Thailand might like to head to a wildlife attraction in the country.
A trip to the Ang Thong Marine National park has been advised by Suite101.com contributor Kami J Ramini.
The reserve and its 42 islet archipelago can be found 31km from the island of Koh Samui and can be accessed quite easily on a one-day trip, the reporter stated.
Viewpoint Climb is one of the highlights on offer at the destination and is an "unforgettable" experience, the specialist noted.
Other activities include sailing, snorkelling, exploring and kayaking.
The largest archipelago is Koh Wua and visitors can scale to the top of it by taking part in a 500m climb.
Suite101.com recently revealed that the Tourism Authority of Thailand has developed guidelines in a bid to make tourism in the country more environmentally-friendly, as areas such as Phuket and Hua Hin are currently expanding "uncontrollably".
