Details of ticket sales for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand have been announced, which could be of interest to gap year travellers who are followers of the sport.
The event is to take place in the country in 2011 and it has been revealed that the first round of applications is to open on April 27th this year – marking almost 500 days before the start of the tournament.
Passes can be purchased online and more than one million – which include entry stubs for matches across all 13 venues at the competition – are to go up for sale worldwide.
They are to be put up for grabs in three phases – with the first two available for punters to buy.
The final stage – which is in regards to the semi-finals and final games – can only be obtained though an open ballot.
Some of the locations for the encounters at the event include Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland.
