Travellers taking a gap year in Indonesia could be among those to attend the Kuta Karnival in Bali.
Taking place in September, the exact dates of the festival are yet to be confirmed.
Kuta Beach has been named as the venue, with various events set to take place over a nine-day period.
These include a kite display, yoga on the beach and the Bali food festival, which will feature stalls selling local fare, DJs, a movie screening and live presentations.
So, gap year travellers who decide to join in the fun will have plenty to occupy their attention.
Running annually, the Kuta Karnival is now entering its ninth year and gives visitors the chance to soak up some local culture.
