A cycle tour has been named as one of the best ways to discover the sights of Sydney, the location's local authority has revealed.

The City of Sydney highlights that BIKEBUFFS has been heralded as the best bicycle tour company by TripAdvisor voters.

And it has also been listed in the top five ways to see the city, which may encourage those on a career break to take to two wheels in order to visit the famous sights.

Among the key locations these tours take locals and holidaymakers alike to are the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, Hyde Park and Darling Harbour.

There is a variety of available itineraries, with daytime and twilight tours both on offer.

"We have a city that is bursting with sparkling sights and iconic landmarks," comments Graeme Dodd, owner of BIKEBUFFS, adding that a cycling tour with an experienced local guide is the best way to see everything.

And fans of cycling may be interested in the Sydney Rides Festival, which will take place from October 8th to 16th.

Celebrating biking in the city, it is expected to attract some 25,000 people.
