More and more people in the UK are looking into the possibility of moving abroad, new research has revealed.
A study by Property International found that rising living costs are making the prospect of living overseas increasingly attractive, reports the Kidderminster Shuttle.
Indeed, more than one in three respondents cited this as their main reason for wanting to leave, while one in ten said they are unhappy with high energy costs.
The study showed that many people believe they will be able to enjoy more favourable prices and better value for money if they leave the UK and settle overseas.
Dermot O’Kane, director of Property International, commented: "It appears that the credit crunch has severely dented Brits’ attitudes to living in the UK."
This comes after research by Cater Allen Private Bank found that a growing number of British nationals are interested in living and working overseas.
The study found that one in five people from the UK have already been employed abroad in the past.
