Sunbathing topless could soon be a thing of the past for those taking a gap year break in Australia.
A group of male campaigners are reportedly pushing for a ban on topless sunbathing and have already won support of several major politicians, according to the Telegraph.
Christian MP Reverend Fred Nile said that women should dress with decency in public places.
"The law should be clear. It must say exposure of women’s breasts on beaches will be prohibited," he commented.
"If you’re on the beach do you want somebody with big knockers next to you when you’re there with the kids?"
If Mr Nile has his way then sunbathing without a bikini could be banned at popular holiday hot spots such as Bondi Beach and Coogee.
There are currently 20 legal nude beaches in Australia, according to freebeach.com.
