Hi, My names Emily. I'm 19, scottish and currently studying at University in Glasgow although my parents live in Norway. I love to travel and have booked to teach English in Koh Samui for 4 weeks from the 5th of June 2009 til the 3rd of July 2009. After those 4 weeks I still have a week left in Thailand.... if anyone has any ideas of what I could do, or places that I could go, that would be great! I'd love to get to know people and if you have any advice...let me know! As this is the first time I've ever done anything like this before so it would be much appreciated! Please dont hesitate to get in touch :)

Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes as the closing date for voting is fast approaching (in 5th place right now!) and SO many people seem to not be able to vote I need extra extra votes!!
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Hey, how was the teaching trip? Did you enjoy it?
Hi, I'm in Thailand at the moment, on Koh Tao right this minute. It's really nice out here, haven't been to Samui yet, saving that for two weeks time! Sounds like you have a bit of a nightmare with uni exams and trying to do the TEFL!! It wasn't too bad, just some of the modules were really time consuming, I think it was the grammar one and the last module that took the longest. Looking forward to it already, are you? I wonder what our place will be like? Jon and I are heading over to Koh Phi Phi and Railay beach for a bit, and then we're getting back into BKK probably the 3rd/4th and will come over to the guesthouse place on the friday. Need to buy something to wear for teaching! Also, haven't bought any books, would have had to carry them for the past couple months. We're thinking maybe some footballs/stationary. Speak again soon :)
Hey u sorry i have just got back to you my internet has gone...boom thats it kappoot! nitemare...i was thinking theres a really big reason why this is a terrible thing apart frm the fact that i cant log onto facebook and then i realised.....shit i cant do the online TEFL!!! im in an internet cafe trying to start it right now...10 modules!?!? holy crap! Im sure its something that u can nuckle down and get done quick...wel thats what iv been telling myself anyways!..u sound really busy hope everythings coming together for you..tenerife will be awesum! U applied for a visa yet??? xxx
Hi! Sorry I took a little while to reply, travelling at the moment so haven't had much time to log back in here. Yes, I'm going to be teaching English on Koh Samui June 5th - July 3rd - my boyfriend Jon is also doing it as well. Nice to meet you! It's good that you can get to know people on here before we all arrive. How are you finding the course? Speak again soon :) Heather
I'm looking into heading that way soon and I'd love to follow your adventures!! Just think as nervous as you may be right now, come a few weeks you'll be giving me the ins and outs of Thailand... Enjoy your time!!

Congrats on teaching in Thailand! It's an awesome country with so much to do. If you are looking for beaches hit up Koh Tao. If you are a rock climber/beach bum be sure to head to Krabi (one of my favorite stops) and if you want to do some shopping and enjoy the culture, head up to Chiang Mai. Great night markets! Hope you enjoy your first Thailand experience.
