Ok...so there's 26 days until I leave for Koh Tao. I have a mixture of excitement and the need to throw up in my tummy. Im slightly unnerved that my backpack is half full and I havent packed anything substantial. Ive made lists as long as my arm of things that I need to organise, buy and pack. My current dilemma is what to do about hand luggage. Im taking a 70L backpack for all my stuff but I am going to need another bag that easy to carry for my hand luggage and important items.
Today i purchased what felt like half of the pharmacy section at boots for all of those "just in case" moments. Ive tried to jam as much into the first aid bag as I can and then pushed it all in as tight as I could into my rucksack. Ive decided that in order to save space I shall buy the majority of my toiletries when I get there and so have only got travel sizes to tide me over.
I ordered a copy of a lonely planet guide book today, which im hoping will provide me with a wealth of interesting and practical knowledge of the area.
Having a bit of a headache trying to organise the trip back from Koh Tao to Bangkok airport because of the timing of the flight. It leaves early in the morning and so we will need to either leave a day early or travel over night and be tired before the journey has really begun...so not to sure on that one at the moment.
Im really looking forward to the sky dive that me and some friends should hopefully be doing while we are out there. Im actually a massive scaredy cat but I'm trying to embrace life in a new way and make the most of every opportunity (which is part of the reason why I booked this trip) So im going to do it...probably not voluntarily in the end as ill be strapped to some poor bloke who will, hopefully jump and who will have to listen to me scream all the way down. Ah well.
