Hi there,
I'm a 19 year old from New Zealand who is going to volunteer in Rio in November this year!
How did your trip go? How was the accomodation?
Is there anything important that you found out while you were there that would help me? Its my first time travelling by myself so i'm a little nervous!

Im doing the volunteer for four weeks but am going to be in Rio for a week before hand and am planning to stay around for a couple of months afterwards to have a look around. How long are you going for? I see you guys have been talking about getting tickets to the carnival I'm real keen to go too . not sure how to use this site properly yet sorry if I put this reply in the wrong place! lol

wow, sounds like youve done quite a bit, aw i love greece where abouts are you going? I used to go there on all my family holidays when i was little!!

So have you looked into doing anything on your free time....I have a friend who did alot of traveling in south america and has told me that hand gliding off the cliffs in rio is a must...im well up for that, her photos look amazing! Oh i cant wait!!!

Heya - Yep I'll be in Rio the same time as you. Make sure you don't get any Carnival tickets without me! I'm also pretty keen to try and get to a soccer match. How long will you be there for?

Well i hope i we can get some cheaper tickets for the carnival out there! it's a must do really!!

As 4 spending money - i'm really not sure?? i don't think the country in general is very expensive however you have to factor in any trips, and other social stuff you may wanna do. i get paid whilst i'm in Rio from my job back home so i'm not taking as much out with me because i get money in my account on the 22nd Jan.

I will probably get through a grand and a half i think??
