Next stop China

Well I am busy filling out forms +++ to get a working visa for China. Planning on spending 6 months there teaching English and hopefully immersing myself in the culture. Not on the i-to-i internship but sure do hope to meet up with a few like minded fellow travellers.
I will be somewhere in southern China and am yet to learn my final destination but hey...once in country I'm sure I'll have ample opportunity to sample all that China has to offer.
Will keep posting as I learn more about my next travelling adventure........

I'm still recovering from the shock of the cost for vaccinations!!!!! I've been giving them for years as an RN but didn't realise the actual costs involved - at least they do offer protection from some horrific diseases that no-one would ever want to get.
Received my work permit - cant read a word of it so I'll take their word that its all correct.....just waiting for the letter from employer to get my Z visa.
Started to pack but still cant see how I'm going to fit everything in......can see me doing a lot of packing and unpacking over the next few weeks with a set of scales on hand!!!!!
Getting excited now but won't feel entirely comfortable until my visa is finalised.
If anyone has great packing tips I'm all ears!!!!:)

I am currently in China. The visa paperwork isnt' that bad...

Well I've had my physical examination, vaccinations underway, eyes tested and new glasses organised. More paperwork sent to China. Flights organised and otherr travel arangeements almost complete..................I think I'm on track!!!!!

Next major challenge - how to pack for 6 months in 23 kgs???

Nice, I am heading off to Xi'an on the 15th July, filling out the forms too, lol..so much fun aren't they?

Good luck with that form... visa applications are the worst part of travelling!!
Can't wait to hear all about your travels in China... I've heard lots of good things from friends who've been there :)
