yay we r so close, i live in nyc. i worked at an orphanage in Goa managed by the Mother Teresa's Roses Sisters. I loved the program, but i am not sure if it still in session. i believe now there is a Mobile Bus to teach kids english, which should also be fun. Goa was very safe (i went to 4 other states in India n Goa was by far the most tourist friendly) everyone speaks english, and you can find pretty much everything u find in the states; yep including Dominos Pizza! (if u r picky about ur Tampon definitely bring ur own. but they have all types of Shampoo n sunblock there, so dont over pack- it was actually cheaper to buy stuff in Goa than in Duane Read! if u think of any questions just send me a note.

I read your Blog and voted. I also read your other blog and i just wanted to say how cool I think it is that you want to volunteer. I don't know much about South America, but I know many people who've been to India (we have an exchange program at our school) and they say it's wonderful there.

hi, yeah the pics were in Goa. i would definitely recommend India, it was amazing and way more than i expected. but i feel you can have a wonderful experience any place you choose too. so just go where ever your heart draws you too and you should have a blast.

so where r u from and were do u want to travel to? i t volunteered in India in july for the first time and love it! it was unbelievable!
